Thanks for all the howdys and welcomes! This reminds me a lot of app.net, which I loved and was so sorry to see shut down. The only true Twitter alternative for a long while.

There’s something about micro.blog that’s a big like posting into the ether (not the ethereum): it doesn’t provide a zing of endorphin feedback with likes and retweets and other mechanisms. Like art, what you post has to be meaningful to yourself, not judged by the acceptance of others.

I wanted to say tangy and zesty and my mouth produced the new word, zangy, which I donate to the public domain.

With Twitter an oncoming garbage fire, I am trying out Micro.blog to see if it fits my interests in writing short entries and having conversations.
